Why You Should Attend AM Days Fort Lauderdale

Becky Doles

Geno Prussakov launched an amazing new affiliate marketing conference earlier this year with the Affiliate Management Days debut in San Francisco. It’s back for a second act, this time in Fort Lauderdale, with an even bigger lineup of top notch speakers. The San Francisco conference was one of the best learning opportunities I’ve had in a long time. So what am I most excited about this time?

Affiliates generally dread the thought of speaking with the FTC, but the guy I’m most looking forward to meeting at Affiliate Management Days is a former FTC Regional Director. Thomas Cohn is currently a consumer regulatory attorney and Partner at LeClair Ryan, where he advises clients on FTC compliance. Cohn is speaking on FTC and state actions vs affiliates and merchants. I’m hoping Cohn will help dispel some of the confusion around things like how “Do Not Track” will impact affiliates.

If you’re familiar with battling affiliate fraud, there are three great opportunities to get some great insight into what the latest challenges are and how to fight them. Wesley Brandi of iPensatori, Hagai Shechter of Fraudlogix, and David Naffziger of BrandVerity will each be sharing pieces of the affiliate fraud and compliance puzzle.

For those of you building an affiliate program, Daniel Feinberg should have some great insight on how to relate to affiliates, Joanna Lord will be sharing the top 10 things to consider when building an in-house program, Rick Gardiner has advice on integrating new tools, and top folks from the big networks will be on hand to provide insight on how affiliate networks play an important role.

One of the other speakers I’m most interested in hearing from is David Szetela. Szetela, who is well known in the PPC community, will be speaking on search, affiliates and the future of personal computing. Here at HasOffers we think about the future quite a bit as we innovate our products. I’m interested to see what Szetela is seeing in our industry, particularly as we move to a world where more people are switching between devices throughout the purchasing process.

This is by no means a complete list of who I hope to see at Affiliate Management Days. Check out the agenda for yourself and remember if you’re still on the fence there’s still time to sign up! I’m hoping to catch some of Conversion Conference while I’m there as well.

I’m also hoping to meet any of you who are attending. If you have an interesting affiliate program, product offering, or take on the industry, be sure to find me. I’ll probably try to strong arm you into writing a guest post on the HasOffers blog, but I’m also looking for great interview opportunities.

Hope to see you in Fort Lauderdale!
