Three Underused Tools for Online Marketing

Becky Doles

New marketing opportunities become available on a regular basis. Figuring out which ones are worth your time can be tough to keep up with. I find the best way for me to stay on top of the latest trends is to check in with other experts and see what they are testing.

At Affiliate Management Days, I had a chance to interview Jay Berkowitz of TenGoldenRules.com about three most important trends he’s seeing in online marketing. Top on his list: retargeting, Facebook advertising, and online video.

We’ve talked a little about these three topics in the past. Todd Martini showed us some of the pitfalls of retargeting. Our own Facebook campaigns provide some insight into advertising performance. And I’m routinely bullish on video for affiliate marketing, though Berkowitz makes an interesting case for how video makes a really strong defensive strategy as well.

I don’t want to give away everything in the post so be sure to watch the interview with Jay Berkowitz so you can take advantage of these three underutilized tools.
