How to Burn MP3s to CD

Whether you just took your computer out of the box or you're an avid surfer, you know that there is an abundance of mp3 music on the internet available for download. After obtaining these files, you, just as most people, would like to burn those mp3s to a CD so you can listen to them in the car or at work.

This can be a simple task with the right tools in hand. The biggest thing that we have to understand is that mp3s are just a file format. With the intelligence of our home computers we can easily convert these files into easily transferable media and take our favorite tunes everywhere.

To do this, we're going to need a CD burning software program. There are many programs available and I suggest you read some article reviews on what products avid users recommend. Chances are that if you are going to buy one, you should get one that has the option to burn CDs as well as DVDs so you're not buying a separate program for that later on down the road.

After you've installed your software program, it will walk you through step by step how to use that particular program, but here is a basic run down. First, you will want to select the mp3s that you want to be burnt to your CD. This is done easiest if you remember where you've saved the mp3s on your computer because it will prompt you to select them from their location. Once you've selected them within the program, you will then need to insert a writable CD, also known as a CD-R into your CD-RW drive. If the CD contains enough empty space for the selected mp3s then select 'Burn' and off you go! You're CD-RW drive will burn the files to your CD! Something you might want to do is insert a blank CD first so that the program will be able to tell you how much space is available and how many mp3s you can add.

Important- Most all computers are outfitted with CD-RW drives these days, but if you don't have one you will need to invest into one of these also. Something I'd like you to keep in mind is that the blank CD-Rs are available in a variety of configurations. Some allow more storage than others and depending on how many mp3s you want to burn to it, might be a consideration for which ones to buy.Well there it is!

I hope you enjoy your new CD. If you liked this information or are interested in learning more about burning CDs, please visit my REVIEW BLOG to find great programs for downloading and burning CDs and DVDs.
