Like Red On A Rose is one of his Jackson's best CDs to date.
It's a CD that will grow on you. It displays a smooth, and relaxing side of Alan Jackson that is wonderfully pleasing to the ear.
Be warned it is a little different from his usual but that's one the things that makes it a likeable collection. I applaud him for trying something outside his comfort zone. This CD sounds and feels like it was recorded by man who is in a different place than he was as a younger man. Like many of us he is older and looks at life different. The Firefly song is very good at expressing this reality.
It's a bit ironic that the CD conatins a track titled "Don't Change on Me" which is exactly what it sounds like Jackson is doing throughout this offering. In a very nice way I might add.
All and all, Like Red On A Rose is a very refreshing change of pace and a CD that is well worth having.
