For affiliates in content publishing space, finding the right methods of monetization can be a challenge. At Affiliate Management Days in Fort Lauderdale, Peter Hamilton moderated a panel on affiliate automation tools. The panel was well rounded with representatives from the various aspects of automation. Large affiliate networks were represented by Scott Allan of LinkShare. Oliver Roup of VigLink and Ashish Pandey of PopShops provided the affiliate tools perspective. And content publisher Shauna Miller of Penny Chic represented the content creators. While each of the panelists had some outstanding insights, I thought Shauna Miller’s approach to using the data provided through automation to be rather novel. After the panel was over, I got a chance to chat with Miller about how she uses affiliate data from VigLink to monetize beyond the affiliate payout.
