In the war for talent acquisition, it’s imperative to share your employer story and tell it very well. The best storytellers often attract the best talent. Evolving our recruiting marketing strategy is a big focus for our team in order to attract the right people who comprise our passionate and authentic culture.
Last week we hosted our 3rd Annual TUNE Recruiting Open House, which was a mighty success. We had 200 attendees, a massive line out the door, our employees were engaged, sharing their own story and potential candidates were beaming with questions and excitement. It was a WIN.
So how did we draw up such a crowd you ponder? Word of mouth brand awareness. Our recruiting team collaborated with marketing to create over 300 flyers which we passed out like hot cakes at a few University Career Fairs, we created a Facebook event page and advertised through various channels. We acted like marketers. Because at the end of the day, we are marketers. We are marketers of our brand and story with a slightly different lens. We are marketing the incredible culture of TUNE, our own personal stories, what it feels like to come to work inspired everyday and the opportunity to make a difference through impact.
What kind of people are we looking for at TUNE?
At TUNE, we’re looking for people who are a bit mad. We’re looking for the restless and the passionate. The ones who have a burning fire within. We’re looking for the people who care and have a vigor for life.
As Jack Kerouac once said, “The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars.”
That’s a sentiment I often sure when talking with potential candidates about our company. I definitely felt that energy last week and was proud to be a part of telling our story.
