StartApp runs on data. An insights-driven mobile company, they support publishers who strive to deliver fulfilling mobile experiences to their users based on their intent and behaviors. Ofer Livne, StartApp’s Director of Strategic Partnerships, works with StartApp account managers on their client strategy. A big part of his job is helping with marketer needs on a day-to-day basis, and giving his team feedback regarding new products in order to build the right tech. Ofer gave us a snapshot into the challenges the company faced and how they overcame them.

“StartApp is on the forefront of performance marketing, using technology to make them best in class at helping their clients engage and understand mobile users.” — Patrick Hearron, VP of Global Sales, HasOffers

Managing Thousands of Mobile Publishers

StartApp’s main product is their SDK networks. They have more than 300,000 apps integrated with their SDK, and they use the data to supply the best targeting — showing the right users the right ads at the right time. While having thousands of clients is a good problem to have, StartApp had to figure out a way to manage all of them. That’s when they found HasOffers. “We knew about the system through previous experience. Once we came across it again, I knew it would be an easy plug-and-play solution,” said Ofer. “It is a great system for us to manage all our publishers in one spot … and to take the logic that we know so well with our algorithms and with our abilities and build upon HasOffers to make sure our publishers have the best experience.”

Why HasOffers Works for StartApp

As a tech company, StartApp likes to play by their own rules. That means getting data into their system is a must-have feature. They use HasOffers Firehose to “to take the data into our system, analyze it, and slice and dice it the way we want to do it, and provide the insights and the algorithm to use it within our own company.”

At TUNE, we have products for both marketers and ad networks. Having relationships with clients on the demand and supply side of mobile marketing helps our clients connect and allows us to understand the product and feature needs they have. Ofer leverages this knowledge at StartApp, saying, “TUNE is a company that has both relationships and products with advertisers and HasOffers for publishers, and the relationship between the products is massively important. Without the relationship — without the ability to do it easily, to go from advertiser to publisher and to synchronize between them — it would have been much much tougher.”
