Announcing TUNE’s Measurement integration with Pinterest

Becky Doles

At TUNE we are always looking to collaborate with innovative ad partners who will help our clients acquire high quality mobile app users. We are excited to announce our measurement integration with Pinterest’s Promoted App Pin product and our inclusion as a Pinterest Marketing Partner. Promoted App Pins are currently available for iOS apps with Android coming soon. With this integration, it’s easy for TUNE clients to enable the integration, create measurement URLs, and set up postbacks for their Promoted App Pin campaigns.

This product enables Pinterest users to download apps directly from Promoted App Pins by simply tapping the install button. They can also tap on the Pin to get a closeup view before downloading. Pinterest offers targeting by keyword, interest, and audience “actalikes” to help marketers meet their goals. Pinterest’s actalikes are distinct from lookalikes because they account for behaviors such as searching for recipes, planning vacations, and creating wishlists. These actions are wrapped with intent to do or buy something, creating a powerful targeting option for marketers.

TUNE clients JackThreads, and Playdots worked with Pinterest during their beta period to acquire new mobile app users through Promoted App Pins.

“When we heard Pinterest was launching Promoted App Pins, we were excited to test it out as a new marketing channel.”
—Yoshi Moriyama, User Acquisition Analyst at Playdots, Inc.

Marketers who are interested in working with Pinterest as an ad partner can now easily enable the integration from the TUNE Marketing Console’s integrated publishers index.
