mCommerce app trends show that when it comes to online shopping and browsing, there’s no better platform than a tablet.. The screen size, touch interface, and portability makes shopping both easy and satisfying.

But don’t take our word for it. There’s plenty of evidence supporting the fact that mobile shopping, and particularly tablet shopping, is on a rocket-like trajectory:

  1. The vast majority of retailers in our recent survey (84%) agreed that mcommerce is likely to grow at a faster rate than online commerce did.
  2. eMarketer is forecasting that U.S. tablet shopping alone will bring in $24 billion in revenue this year, with that number expected to nearly double by 2015.
  3. The number of high-profile tablet shopping apps is on the rise. Popsugar Shopping, CoffeeTable, and Hautelook are just a few popular examples.

So how do you make the most of a tablet shopping app? Keep it fresh, and keep on optimizing. UI enhancements are some of the easiest changes to make, whether it’s updating a color element, changing a feature image, or adding a timely, promotional message. Even the smallest change can make a big difference in user engagement, and ultimately in sales.
